Day 1:
Arrival in Hargeisa (Somaliland)

Arrival in Hargeisa and warm welcome by our local team. Enjoy a guided city tour covering key landmarks, local markets, and cultural highlights, offering a first insight into Somaliland’s vibrant capital. Overnight in Hargeisa

Day 2:

Laas Geel - Berbera (Somaliland)

Morning departure to Laas Geel, home to some of the oldest and best-preserved rock art in Africa, featuring vivid prehistoric paintings set among dramatic granite formations. After the visit, continue to Berbera, the historic Red Sea port city. Relax by the coast and enjoy the seaside atmosphere.

Day 3:

Berbera - Hargeisa (Somaliland)

Morning at leisure in Berbera, with time to enjoy the beach or explore the old Ottoman-era buildings. Later, drive back to Hargeisa through scenic desert landscapes.

Fly Hargeisa- Djibouti

Flight from Hargeisa to Djibouti. Upon arrival, meet our local team and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening in Djibouti City. Overnight in Djibouti

Day 5:

 Djibouti- Lake Abbe

Early departure toward the extraordinary Lake Abbe, famous for its surreal limestone chimneys, steaming vents, and lunar-like scenery. Arrive in time to experience the unique atmosphere of this remote natural wonder.

Day 6:

Lake Abbe- Lake Assal- Djibouti City

After sunrise at Lake Abbe, continue to Lake Assal, the lowest point in Africa and one of the saltiest lakes on Earth, surrounded by striking volcanic landscapes. Return to Djibouti City in the afternoon.

Is it safe to travel to Somaliland & Djibouti?

It is safe now for travelers to come to these countries. We do keep a close eye on the situation and will act immediately if there will be any uncertainty. Somaliland & Djibouti are safer now for travelers than it has been in over a decade.

How do I get visa?

Djibouti:

Visa on arrival at the airport. An invitation letter is required, which we will provide.
Somaliland: Currently, airlines flying to Hargeisa require passengers to hold a Somalia e-Visa at check-in. Without it, boarding may be denied. Therefore, obtaining the Somalia e-Visa is essential. We will also provide the Somaliland invitation letter, allowing you to receive a Somaliland visa on arrival.

What is the minimum/maximum number of participants on this trip?

We do have a guarantee of departure for this trip. 
And we take a maximum of 10 people + crew for each tour.

How do I fly to Hargeisa and out of  Djibouti City?

Hargeisa is accessible via Addis Ababa, Dubai, or Jeddah, with regular flights connecting international travelers. Ethiopian Airlines and regional carriers make it easy to reach this city.

Flying out of Djibouti City is easy with connections to major hubs like Addis Ababa, Dubai, and Nairobi. From there you can connect onward to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or beyond with one connecting flight.

What flight I should book from Hargeisa to

Djibouti City?

To make the most of our time, we will take a short direct flight on day 4 from Hargeisa to Djibouti City. In the Pack Your Bag document, we will provide clear guidance on exactly which flight to book as we will be flying together as a group.

Do I need to bring cash?

Yes, bring USD/EUR. There will be no ATMs available so bring enough cash for the trip. You can exchange your cash for local currency.
