Arrival in Port Moresby
Overnight: Port Moresby

Arrive at Port Moresby International Airport, where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. After a short adventure briefing, and depending on your arrival time, enjoy an afternoon city tour including a visit to 17 Mile Nature Park to see Birds of Paradise, tree kangaroos, and crocodiles.

Overnight: Goroka

Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Goroka. Visit Gimisave Village for cultural performances including the Asaro Mudmen, Arunumuna women's singsing, a fire-making demonstration, and traditional storytelling.

Goroka Show โ€” Day 1
Overnight: Goroka

Attend the first day of the Goroka Cultural Show with full-day exploration of tribal sing-sing performances featuring over 100 tribes in traditional dress. In the afternoon, enjoy additional performances including the Asaro Mudmen, mask-making demonstrations, Korokua masked hunters, and Mokomoko victory dance.

Goroka Show โ€” Day 2
Overnight: Goroka

Return to the festival grounds for the second day of the Goroka Show. In the afternoon, visit J.K. McCarthy Museum and Goroka local market, then head to Wara Wesan Village to experience Simbu culture โ€” including mock tribal fighting, billum weaving, bamboo flute music, weapon crafting, and courtship ceremonies.

Overnight: Mindima village

Depart by road to Mindima with a stop at Congo Coffee Factory. Upon arrival, experience the Skeleton Tribe and local cultures through performances by the Insect Hunters, Ash Kondai dancers, skeleton dancers, and a traditional one-string bamboo band, followed by a guided village and garden walk.

Overnight: Mt Hagen

Drive to Mt Hagen with a stop at Avi Village waterfall for a short break and optional swim. Check into the lodge and enjoy the afternoon at leisure for nature walks or birdwatching.

Overnight: Port Moresby

Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Port Moresby. Upon arrival, enjoy a half-day city tour including the National Museum and Art Gallery, Parliament House, and Ela Beach.

Your spot is secured as soon as we receive your $950 deposit. For this adventure you can pay the balance in two installments: $1,000 first installment, then $1,000 second installment โ€” making it easy to plan ahead.

Yes, most nationalities will need a visa. We'll provide all the necessary supporting documents to help you apply for your e-visa when the time comes.
What is the group size?
This tour has a guaranteed departure โ€” it runs regardless of numbers. Maximum 12 travellers plus crew for an intimate, authentic experience.
How do I fly to Papua New Guinea?
Fly into Port Moresby (POM), the main international gateway. Direct flights are available from Australia (Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney), Singapore, the Philippines, and some Pacific islands. We'll help you find the best option and assist along the way.
Should I bring cash?
Cash is preferred in most places. ATMs can be sparse, particularly in rural areas, but are available in bigger cities. Bring enough for personal expenses โ€” everything else is included.
