Begin with a visit to the vibrant Karan Bazar markets, the National Parliament Building (viewed from outside), and historical landmarks at Dhaka University. Enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride to Shakariya Bazar, followed by a walking tour of the old city โ Hindu Street, the Pink Palace, and unique local experiences. End the day with a boat tour on the Buriganga River, visiting the bustling Sadarghat River Port and dockyards.
Transfer to the boat station and board a private cabin on a ferry for a scenic 4-hour cruise. Cross the Padma, Meghna, and Sondha rivers, arriving at Bhola Elisha Ghat. After a ferry ride at Veduriya Ghat, visit the fascinating floating gypsy fisherman village.
Journey to Banaripara to board a boat for a backwater floating market tour. Enjoy breakfast on the boat while cruising through rivers and canals, observing vibrant local life, farmers transporting crops, wooden bridges, and lush orchards. Visit the UNESCO-listed Mosque City of Bagerhat โ including the iconic Sixty Pillar Mosque, Nine Dome Mosque, and the Shrine of Khan Jahan Ali.
Fly from Dhaka to Paro in the morning. Meet your local Bhutanese guide and enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Thimphu, passing charming villages and serene countryside. Explore the Memorial Chhorten, the world's tallest Buddha statue at Buddha Point, and enjoy lunch in Thimphu. Embark on the Sangaygang Cross-Country Hike for stunning views of Thimphu Valley and Tashichho Dzong. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong and stroll through Thimphu town.
Begin the day at Dochula Pass โ 108 stupas adorned with colourful prayer flags and breathtaking panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas on clear days. Descend through lush forests into the Punakha and Wangdi Phodrang valleys. Visit Chhimi Lhakhang (the Temple of Fertility) and explore Punakha Dzong, Bhutan's most beautiful fortress and former winter capital. Walk across the country's longest suspension bridge.
Drive to Paro and hike to the iconic Paro Taktsang Monastery โ "Tiger's Nest" โ a sacred Buddhist site perched on a cliffside. The 2-hour ascent takes you through a serene pine forest adorned with prayer flags. Enjoy lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria. On the return, visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong (1649) and Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples dating to the 7th century. Spend the evening in the stunning Paro Valley.
