D2
Islamabad to Chilas
Overnight: Chilas

After breakfast, drive toward Chilas via the famous Karakoram Highway (10–12 hrs, 480 km) β€” or in summer via the Kaghan Valley over the Babusar Pass. Chilas is a small bazaar town where ancient petroglyphs dating to the 1st century BC can be glimpsed.

D3

Overnight: Minapin

Proceed to Gilgit for sightseeing including the bazaar and the Kargah Buddha carved into a cliff outside town. Continue to Minapin, stopping at the stunning Rakaposhi viewpoint on the way.

D4
Rakaposhi Day Hike
Overnight: Minapin

Early morning start for a day hike toward Rakaposhi base camp and the Minapin glacier. Depending on the group's fitness we go as far as conditions allow β€” faster hikers can reach the glacier edge, slower hikers enjoy stunning views from the lower slopes. Multiple guides available if needed.

D5

Drive to Karimabad β€” the capital of Hunza. After lunch, explore the Karimabad Bazaar and visit the magnificent Baltit Fort, which has watched over the Hunza Valley for 700 years.

D6
Karimabad β€” Duikar
Overnight: Karimabad

Full day tour of Karimabad: the Altit Fort, the UNESCO-listed Ganish Village with its ancient watchtowers and Silk Road heritage, and the Sacred Rocks. In the late afternoon, hike to Duikar for a breathtaking sunset over the Hunza Valley from the Eagle's Nest viewpoint.

En route to Passu, stop at Gulmit to visit the local museum, polo ground, old houses, a handmade carpet centre, and the legendary Hussaini suspension bridge. After lunch, hike to Kamaris village and the Andra Fort for spectacular views of the Passu Cones and Attabad Lake.

Got questions?
FAQ
Is it safe to travel to Pakistan?
Yes β€” the northern regions of Pakistan we visit are safe and very welcoming to tourists. The Hunza Valley and Karakoram region in particular have a long tradition of tourism and an excellent reputation for hospitality.
Why is Pakistan private-tour only?
We offer Pakistan exclusively as a private trip so we can fully tailor the experience β€” dates, pace, itinerary length, and trekking difficulty β€” to suit you perfectly, whether you're travelling solo or with a group.
How does the booking process work?
Your spot is secured as soon as we receive your deposit, which is refundable up to 7 days after booking. For full details please check our Terms & Conditions.
Do I need a visa?
Most nationalities require a visa for Pakistan. We provide a Letter of Invitation which is required as part of the visa application, and will guide you through the entire process.
What is the fitness level required?
The sample itinerary includes a full-day glacier hike which requires reasonable fitness. We can adjust the pace and difficulty β€” multiple guides can be arranged to cater for different fitness levels within the same group.
What is the best time to visit?
The best seasons are spring (April–June) and autumn (September–October). Summer allows the Babusar Pass route which is spectacular. Winter closes some high-altitude routes but offers quiet, dramatic landscapes.
Can I travel as a female traveller?
Yes, absolutely. Pakistan's northern regions are very welcoming and many solo female travellers visit each year. We will brief you on cultural dress codes and ensure you feel safe and comfortable throughout.
