Depart Mazar-i-Sharif early in the morning for a scenic drive to Bamyan, with several photo stops along the way. Meet the Hazara people, experience their unique daily life and culture, followed by a lunch break.
Begin the day by registering with the Provincial Afghan Tour Department, followed by a visit to the Buddha Niches β once the world's largest standing Buddha statues, tragically destroyed in 2001. Explore the haunting ruins of Ghulghula, the "City of Scream," before heading to the breathtaking Band-e-Amir Blue Lakes for hiking and sightseeing.
Depart Bamyan early for a 4-hour drive to Kabul, with a stop at the ruins of Zuhak City β known as the Red City. In Kabul, explore the bustling Mandawi Bazaar and visit the historic Shrine of Sakhi. Admire Babur Garden, built by Mughal Emperor Babur Shah in 1528 CE. Meet Haji Shirzaman β Afghanistan's last box cameraman β and see his wooden camera in action.
Start the day with a visit to Chicken Street β Kabul's famous antique and handicrafts market β perfect for picking up souvenirs. If time allows, explore more historical sites including Band-i-Ghargha National Park in Paghman. The trip concludes with a drop-off at the airport for your flight back to Dubai.
