Day by day
Itinerary
D1
Arrival in Socotra
Overnight: Delisha Beach (camping)

Touch down in Socotra, clear immigration and head into Hadibo for lunch. The afternoon is spent at Delisha Beach — swimming, relaxing by the sea and freshwater lagoon, and catching the sunset. Fresh seafood dinner and first night under the stars.

D2
Homhil & Arher Beach
Overnight: Fermihin Forest (camping)

After breakfast we drive to Homhil protected area, stopping at Qaria lagoon to spot flamingos and other birds. In Homhil we hike to a natural infinity pool with sweeping views of the village and sea before descending to Wadi Al-Shifa. The afternoon is spent at ArAr Beach — massive sand dunes and stunning coastal views.

D3
Hoq Cave & Dihamri
Overnight: Momi Plateau (camping)

Early breakfast, then drive to Hala and hike ~1.5 hours to Hoq Cave — one of the island's most impressive underground worlds, with fascinating stalactites, stalagmites and Socotri history. After hiking back and lunch, the afternoon shifts to Dihamri marine protected area for snorkelling among Socotra's richest coral reefs.

D4
Wadi Killisan & Omaq Beach
Overnight: Omaq Beach (camping)

A hike through Killisan Canyon to swim in turquoise pools and a picnic lunch in the wadi. We then drive to Noged via Difa'arhu canyon, passing traditional villages and the extraordinary Desert Rose trees. The evening ends at the colossal sand dunes of Hayf and Zahiq for a spectacular sunset over the sea.

D5
Dixsam Plateau & Fermihin Forest
Overnight: Fermihin Forest (camping)

The morning starts at Degub Cave before we head up to Dixsam plateau to meet Bedouins and walk among the iconic Dragon's Blood Trees. A stop at Shebahon viewpoint overlooks the dramatic Daerhur canyon. After lunch in the canyon we explore Fermihin Forest — Dragon's Blood and bottle trees in every direction — before a stunning sunset over the plateau.

D6
Qalansiah & Detwah Lagoon
Overnight: Detwah Beach (camping)

Driving northwest we pass the salt pits used by locals and spot old Soviet-era tanks along the route. In Qalansiya — a charming fishing town with traditional houses and narrow alleyways — we visit the protected Ditwah lagoon with its turquoise waters and white sandy shore. We meet Abdullah the cave man, tour his cave, and explore the lagoon while spotting sea creatures.

D7
Shouab Beach & Ayhaft Canyon
Overnight: Hotel in Hadibo

After breakfast at Detwah we take a boat excursion to Shouab Beach — stunning sand dunes, crystal-clear water and dolphins swimming alongside the boat. Snorkel, swim and relax on the pristine beach surrounded by mangroves. We return to Qalansiya by boat and drive to Hadibo, stopping at Ayhaft Canyon National Park for freshwater pools, unique trees and diverse birdlife. First night in a hotel.

D8
Hadibo & Departure to Jeddah
End of tour — Jeddah

After breakfast we visit the local fish market and browse the Socotra Women Development Association shop for unique island souvenirs. We then transfer to Socotra Airport and catch our flight back to Jeddah, carrying memories of one of the world's last truly wild islands.

Got questions?
FAQ
Is this adventure for me?
If you're comfortable with a bit of adventure, then yes. Our Socotra tour is designed for travellers who enjoy nature, unique landscapes, and being off the beaten path. We camp for most of the week, so you should be happy with simple living conditions and outdoor experiences.
How does the booking process work?
Your spot is secured as soon as we receive your $500 deposit — fully refundable within 7 days. We'll send you a welcome email with all the details. The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure.
Do I need to book the return flight from Jeddah?
We take care of booking your Jeddah–Socotra flight when the time comes, so you don't need to worry about it.
What about the visa?
We apply for the visa on your behalf and get it approved. When you arrive in Socotra you'll need to pay $200 in cash for the visa on arrival.
What are the sleeping and shower arrangements?
Most nights are wild camping — on beaches, in the mountains or in wadis — with tents and camping equipment set up by our local crew. Showers on camping nights are pressure solar showers; some camps have a basic concrete block shower with rainwater tanks. The final night is in a hotel in Hadibo.
Is it safe to travel to Socotra?
Yes — Socotra Island is absolutely safe, and the conflict on the Yemeni mainland does not reach the island. We keep a close eye on the situation and will act immediately if anything changes.
How much cash should I bring?
We recommend bringing around $300 USD in cash to cover the visa on arrival and tips for the local team. There are no ATMs on the island.
Can I come as a solo traveller?
Absolutely — most of our guests travel solo and it's a fantastic way to meet like-minded adventurers. You'll be paired with another solo traveller to share a tent/room, or pay the $150 single supplement for your own space throughout.
