Day 1:

Arrival in Asmara

Arrival at Asmara International Airport.

Meet & assist, then transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in Asmara.

Day 2:

Asmara City Tour

Guided exploration of Asmara, often called “Piccola Roma.” Visit Art Deco landmarks including Fiat Tagliero Building, Asmara Theatre, Post Office, Al Khulafa Al Rashedin Mosque, Medeber industrial quarter, spice markets, Tanks Graveyard, National Museum, Pushkin Monument, and the historic steam train station.
Overnight in Asmara.

Day 3:

Asmara → Keren

Morning visit to Orthodox and Catholic churches to observe local Sunday traditions. Drive through scenic mountain roads to Keren. En route, stop at a Bilen village.
In Keren, visit Mariam Dearit Chapel (inside a baobab tree), colonial buildings, old train station, and WWII cemeteries.
Overnight in Keren.

Day 4:

Keren Markets → Asmara

Visit Keren’s famous camel market (Mondays) and lively general market showcasing regional ethnic dress and trade. Afternoon return to Asmara.

Day 5:

Kohaito Archaeological Site

​Drive via Dekemhare and Adi Keyeh to Kohaito, an ancient Axumite-era site located on a high plateau overlooking the Great Rift Valley. Explore ruins and dramatic landscapes before returning to Asmara in the afternoon.
Overnight in Asmara.

Day 6:

Asmara → Massawa (Red Sea Coast)

Descend from the highlands to Massawa via the spectacular Ghinda Road. Photo stops along the historic Italian railway.
Explore Massawa, known as the Pearl of the Red Sea, including Ottoman architecture, museums, and waterfront areas. 
Overnight in Massawa.​

Day 7:

Boat Trip to Disse Island

Fast boat transfer to Disse Island. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on pristine beaches. Overnight camping on the island with provided tents, mattresses, meals, and water.

Day 8:

Disse Island → Asmara

Morning island activities and visit to fishermen’s village and nearby Madot Island. Return to Massawa by boat, then drive back to Asmara.

Departure

Our Adventure ends after breakfast and you transfer to Asmara International Airport for departure.

It is safe now for travelers to come to Eritrea. We do keep a close eye on the situation and will act immediately if there will be any uncertainty. Eritrea is safer now for travelers than it has been in over a decade.

How do I get Visa?

We will provide detailed instructions on how to get your Eritrea visa, along with our full support and assistance throughout the entire process.

What is the minimum/maximum number of participants ?

We do have a guarantee of departure for this trip. 
And we take a maximum of 12 people + crew for each tour.

What flight I should book?

We will fly to and from Asmara.

You can fly with Turkish Airlines, EgyptAir, or Emirates. Most travelers connect through Istanbul, Cairo, or Dubai.

In the Pack Your Bag document, We will guide you on the best flight connections and provide the most convenient arrival time to join the group.

What should I bring for this trip?

We will send you the Pack Your Bag document several months before departure. It includes all the necessary information about flights, logistics, what to pack, and any other important details about your trip.

Should I carry cash for this trip?

ATMs and card payments are not available in Eritrea. We recommend bringing enough cash to cover meals, souvenirs, and tips for the local team. Around 200–300 USD should be sufficient

Can I travel as a female traveler?

Yes, that is no problem.

We always accommodate you with the same gender. In very rare cases, you may be asked to share a room with someone of the opposite gender; in such situations, we will inform you in advance. You also have the option to request a single room for your privacy.
