Did you know that Yemen is home to one of the oldest skyscrapers in the world? The ancient city of Shibam in Yemen's Hadhramaut Valley is famous for its mud-brick high-rise buildings, some of which date back over 500 years. These structures, often referred to as "skyscrapers of the desert," can reach up to 11 stories high and are remarkable examples of early high-density urban planning and architecture.
