Day 1:
Arrival in Kabul

Going to a tailor shop for the local outfit/shirt.

Visiting historical and tourist attractions of Kabul, depending on what time remains.

Overnight at Cedar Guest House. and Kabuli Pallow, the most popular local meal in Kabul will be served.
Day 2:
Mazar-e-Sharif & Balkh

Kabul to Mazar-I-sharif by a flight at 9:30 (Flight times for the following year may change)

Arrival at 10:30 and registration with the Provincial Afghan Tour Department.

A short drive towards Balkh district, reportedly the oldest city in history, after lunch.

Meeting Pashtoon people and experiencing their daily life and culture (mostly Taliban)

Visiting the ruins of The Rumi House, Tomb of Rabia Balkhi, Khaja Parsa Wali Hajji Piada, and Bala Hesar Bakh (ruins of the enormous citadel first built by Alexander the Great).

Overnight at Arsalan Hotel in Mazar-I-Sharif
Day 3:
Mazar-e-Sharif & Samangan

Visiting the most iconic historical place in northern Afghanistan in the morning. The Blue Mosque (shrine of Ali, the cousin, and son-in-law of Prophet Mohammad).

A 2-hour ride to nearby Samangan and registration with the Provincial Aghan tour.

Visiting Takht-e-Rustam (The Throne of Rustam) 4th century AD and Tahmina Bazaar. listening to the story of Sohrab and Rustam.

Visiting the (Jahan Nama) Garden on our way back to Mazar-i-Sharif.

Meeting Uzbik people, experiencing their daily life and culture, and visiting local bazaars

Overnight at Arsalan Hotel in Mazar-I-Sharif
Day 4:
Way to Bamyan

Leaving Mazar-i-Sharif early morning for a drive to Bamyan.

Meeting Hazara people and experiencing their daily life and culture.

Lunch break on our way to Bamyan

Overnight at Nurbandqala Hotel.
Day 5:
Band-e-Amir

Registration with the Provincial Afghan Tour Department.

A visit to the Buddha Niches, 6th century. These statues were the largest examples of standing Buddha carvings in the world but were dynamited and destroyed in March 2001 by the Taliban. (Salsal 53m and Shahmama 35m).

A visit to the ruins of Ghulghula city (the city of Scream)

Heading towards Band-e-Amir Blue Lakes, hiking and sightseeing around these six miraculous blue lakes separated by natural dams.

Overnight back at Noorbandqala Hotel.
Day 6:
Bamyan - Kabul

Leaving Bamyan early morning for a 4-hour trip to Kabul.

A visit to the ruins of Zuhak City (The Red City) on our way back to Kabul.

A visit to the oldest market (Mandawi Bazaar of Kabul)

A visit to the Shrine of Sakhi, initially built in the era of Ahmad Shah Baba the founder of the Durrani Empire in the 18th Century.

Visiting the iconic Babur Garden, built around 1528 CE, by the Mughal Emperor Babur Shah.
-
You will be driven to visit Haji Shirzaman the only box cameraman in Afghanistan to see how he works with his wooden camera and take some photos.

Overnight at Cedar Guest House.
Day 7:
Kabul & Home

Visiting Chicken Street (antique and handicrafts market) where you can buy souvenirs for friends and family.

Depending on what time remains, we will visit historical and tourist attractions of Kabul, and the Band-i-Ghargha in Paghman, the national park of Kabul

Drop off at the airport for your flight back home.

It is safe now for travelers to come to Afghanistan. We do keep a close eye on the situation and will act immediately if there will be any uncertainty. Afghanistan is safer now for travelers than it has been in over a decade.

How does the booking process work?
Your spot will be secured as soon as we receive your deposit payment. This deposit is refundable up to 10 days after your booking.
You will receive an invoice for the balance payment 9 weeks before the trip starts.

How do I get visa?
We will give you a letter of invitation and all other documents needed to apply for the visa. You can apply at your nearest Afghanistan embassy without any issues. If it will not be granted for some reason, you can get the visa from the Afghanistan embassy in Dubai, Islamabad, or Peshawar in Pakistan. We can assist you as much as we can throughout the process.

What is the minimum/maximum number of participants on this trip?
We do have a guarantee of departure for this trip.
And we take a maximum of 10 people + crew for each tour.

How do I fly to Kabul?
There are a quite few options available now. There are daily flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, there are also flights from Istanbul, Jeddah, Ryhad, Kuwait, and Dheli.

Do I need to bring cash?
Yes, bring USD or EUR, there will be no ATMs available so bring enough cash for the trip. You can exchange your cash for local currency in Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif.

Can I travel there as a female?
Yes, that is no problem, you will have to cover your hair. We will also stop at a tailor on our first day in Kabul where you can buy appropriate clothing for the trip.

Can I come as a solo traveler
That’s absolutely not a problem! You will be paired with another like-minded solo traveler and share the room with him/her. Or you can get a single supplement for an additional fee. With single supplement you will get your own hotel room.
